International health and beauty retailer, A.S Watson Group has marked a new milestone with the opening of its 15,000th store here in Malaysia.
For the fourth year in a row, A.S. Watson’s new store opening continues to be at an average speed of one store every seven hours across its 25 markets in Asia and Europe.
Located in the newly-launched Central i-City mall, the store is Malaysia’s 500th outlet. The 4,200 square-feet store is equipped with StyleMe, an AR (augmented reality) technology, that makes for an engaging and fun experience for customers.
Group managing director Dominic Lai expressed that the group’s success is owed to customer satisfaction and connectivity. The ability to consistently meet customers with products, trends and experiences is a major factor in their continual growth. [restrict]
“Globally, A.S Watson has over 135 million loyalty members and we’ve been investing HK$1bil (RM518.19mil) in digital since 2012 to enhance customer experience and enable the business to build data-driven approach to stay closer to customers’ needs,” he said during the 15,00th store celebration.
From a single dispensary in Hong Kong to 15,000 stores worldwide, A.S Watson has built a worthy empire of 140,000 colleagues. Their celebrations are widely based on thanking customers and showing appreciation to colleagues.
